2.2MP CCD with RGB Primary Colour Filter
Record widescreen movies, bursting with colour, straight to DVD (-R/-RW/-R Dual Layer) via a 2.2MP CCD with RGB Primary Colour Filter. Then simply finalise a disc in-camera and transfer it to a DVD player. Traditional 4:3 shooting is selected at the push of a button.

Slimline and easy to handle
The DC21’s compact styling provides enhanced one-handed operation: with controls grouped together on the back of the camcorder, most functions can be accessed using just one hand.

DVD-R Dual Layer
The DC21, part of Canon’s second generation DVD line-up, is compatible with a wider range of DVD formats, including DVD-R Dual Layer. With greater capacity, Dual Layer discs offer more generous recording times: 36 minutes at best quality, 54 minutes at standard quality and an impressive 108 minutes at the most efficient setting.

2.7" widescreen LCD
Optimised for widescreen recording, the DC21’s 2.7" LCD allows you to keep an eye on the action exactly as it is shot - in true 16:9. The LCD’s horizontal level marker makes it easy to frame the perfect scene, while anti-glare coating means that the screen is visible even in bright sunlight.

Software supplied
Roxio MyDVD for Canon, compatible with DVD-R Dual Layer, and a Canon DV Solution Disc come supplied. MyDVD provides easy, one-touch dubbing: transfer video from the camcorder to a 12cm DVD in just one click.

10x optical zoom
With an advanced Electronic Image Stabilizer, the DC21’s precision 10x optical zoom lens delivers crisp images that are free of shake even when using the zoom at its maximum level.

Dolby Digital®*
With Dolby Digital®* offering superior sound, the DC21’s audio matches the superb quality of its video images.

DIGIC DV
The DIGIC DV image processor provides images full of outstanding, true-to-life colour. Split path processing for video and still signals ensures optimal colour output for each.

Digital photography
Advanced digital photography functions make the DC21 a powerful all-in-one imaging tool. Capture photos to a miniSD card whilst recording video, or store individual still images direct to DVD or miniSD.

Video light and flash
A white LED video light allows close subjects to be shot in colour even in low light. A built-in flash for digital photography is also provided.
