Viewfinder -Whilst many small compacts now no longer have a viewfinder and the photo composition is achieved using the LCD screen. On some compact cameras, bridge or prosumer cameras and SLR cameras still have viewfinders.
There are two types of viewfinders, optical (lens based) and electronic (minature LCD) Like a video camera, some viewfinders contain a miniature TV monitor showing what the camera sees. This usually uses less power that the LCD screen on the back of the camera, but can be a strain on the eye and difficult to focus.
