A-DEP - Auto Depth of Field
A mode on many Canon EOS cameras. The mode is only available on cameras with multiple focus points and simplifies the process of getting everything between two areas in acceptable focus. Very useful for portrait when you want to make sure all the emphasis is on the face and not the background
